Medilink Nursing Ltd is a Nursing Agency providing short-notice cover for Nursing Homes, Residential Homes, Hospitals, Psychiatric Units and Learning Disability Homes. Because of the nature of our business, like all care agencies, we are unable to guarantee a constant supply of work. However, in practice, nurses who make themselves available tend to be always working.
Medilink Nursing’s agency staff are paid weekly every Friday. However, if you want to be paid quicker, we also offer next-day payments! Simply email us a copy of your timesheet to us before 9 AM (with the next-day payment option ticked), and we will sort out a same-day payment for you for FREE.
Yes. Holiday pay is accrued for each shift that you do.
No – however, we will always try and provide you with local shifts, and if needed, help you find a route to get there.
At Medilink Nursing we provide our Health Care Assistants (HCA), Registered General Nurses (RGNs) and Registered Mental Nurses (RMNs) with all the mandatory training, which we provide through a series of online courses.
Unfortunately not. As a recruitment agency, we cannot apply for a work permit because we are not recruiting to fill a specific vacancy. For jobs in care, you will need to apply for a permanent position.
Everybody has places that they don’t like or jobs they don’t like doing. That’s fine with us, as we have plenty of clients, so we can swap things around and make everybody happy. We will never coerce or pressure you into accepting a shift you don’t want!
Some travelling may be involved, but we always try to keep commutes to a minimum. We aim to keep our staff’s travel time under 30 minutes each way.
Yes – You are issued with a uniform before you start with us, and this must be worn unless specifically requested by the client.
No, and we want to help make sure it doesn’t happen! If you come and work with Medilink Nursing, we expect you to be treated with respect by the clients we send you to. If this is not the case, we take action even if that means losing the client.
Yes – You are free to work for who you like. We have a contractual agreement with our clients, so what usually happens is that we will transfer you over to the client after a short notice period.
Care agency work shifts vary. Weekday and Weekend Care Assistant days shifts can be anywhere from 4 to 8 hours long, with 7.5 hours being the most common. Night Care Assistant Jobs tend to be 12-hour shifts.
